This morning Chai was telling me about the time she went wind surfing in the Adirondacks, (or maybe it was the Azores, she couldn’t remember which), with this burly Russian Blue tour guide named Sputnik. And while she was out there surrounded by mountains (she wasn’t really sure it was wind surfing, maybe it was hang-gliding) she totally fell in love with nature. The rocks and grass beneath her feet (now she thinks maybe they were just hiking, or possibly mountain climbing) and the sun on her back, and the fresh air; all of it made her realize how being cooped up inside had limited her spiritual growth. And so, after spending a couple weeks shacked up with Sputnick in the Agricola Mountains, she didn’t ever want to go back to being a house cat.
About that time, though, she was getting hungry. She realized she hadn’t eaten anything since she arrived in Appalachia (or maybe it was Argentina) so she decided to get up and head back into the kitchen for a bite or two of meomix. Once she got some kibble in her tummy she discovered napping in the cardboard box sitting by the back door was actually far superior to all that nature crap.
…she was really hit’n those leafy greens hard yesterday.
Anynip, I hope you all meet your own Sputnick and have some wonderful adventures like Chai did. But not right now. Right now it’s Tuesday morning and everyone has to go to work today.
