I do feel that I get repetitive with my writing. But it can be difficult to maintain creative originality when you limit yourself to a single topic, and then limit yourself to seventeen syllables. But still, I have managed it rather successfully. This probably means I’m awesome. But don’t worry. I won’t get all ‘scary superstar’ about it.
But it begs the question: should I Haiku about non-cat stuff? I know. There isn’t anything as worthy of poetic praise. But there are some other things worth some praise. Like sunsets, and baby raccoons, and sleeping in on a snowy morning, and cheese.
Would I have to change the name? I mean, if I went too far from Cats. “Almost Daily Random Stuff Haiku” just doesn’t have the same gravitas. How about “The Haiku Pile”? Maybe “Heap-o-Haiku”?
Nah. I’ll stick with Daily (almost) Cats (mostly)
Hey! It’s Thursday!! That means a work crew will show up at 6:30 in the morning and start tearing down a tree in my neighbor’s front yard…. Ok. That is not a typical Thursday thing. But it is apparently a this Thursday thing. And as cool as it is to see a big tree get cut into small pieces, I would have liked another two or three hours of not hearing heavy equipment and chainsaws.
Take the garbage out! Water the plants!
See you kids later.
