There’s not a lot going on in my head at the moment. Kind of foggy up there right now. Like a morning mist filling in the low spots, blanketing over the details, smudging the corners and edges until anything I’m trying to think is just a muddied swirl.
I do have a cup of coffee, and snoring cat in my lap. And that makes me happy. So even though I cannot yet make the words happen, I’m still satisfied with this morning’s effort.
Sometimes it’s not about the objectives, or even the path towards them. It’s about the little stops we make. The pockets of quiet comfort we discover and share with a friend, or a cat.
And remember! If you missed Father’s Day because you were working, or lost your calendar, or were abducted by aliens, or whatever; today is the makeup day! So take your dad out to dinner, or buy him some tools, or just give him a hug. And then give your mom an even bigger hug because she has to live with him.
