One hundred. The big Hundo. A century. All the cents…
It’s been about 9½ months since I started this little web-thingy. And while I’ve been a bit more “almost” than “daily”, 100 Haikus is a pretty cool milestone. That’s about ⅜ of a Haiku, or 6.4 syllables, each day. I don’t thing partial syllables is possible though. I feel rounding down is appropriate whenever listing achievements, but if you’re measuring syllables, I would think that any portion of a syllable by itself would actually be a syllable. I haven’t the time to locate an expert on syllabatic enumeration, nor the time to discuss the matter even if I could. In my best judgement, I will say partial syllables are not possible. Therefore, I have averaged either 6-or-7 syllables a day. That seems satisfactory.
I have several weeks before my next milestone, One Year, and I hope to improve that average before then.
Thank you all for being with me through this journey so far. And I look forward to what this path holds going forward.
(Hey. Look at that. I did math on a sunday.)
