This may look like your everyday, normal, cat bed. But it’s actually a christmas tree.

Well. It’s actually a cat tree, but it was first advertised as a cat-christmas-tree that could transform into a normal cat tree for the other, non-christmas part of the year. And at that point it was a noteworthy curiosity. An online oddity you might send a picture of to a friend for laughs. But then they made the Halloween skin. It adds orange accents, and scary fangs, and it has a pumpkin on top. And it’s so much cooler than just a one season cat tree.

So we bought one. Because we have problems and should probably get our brains checked.

But it has been quite a success! Pepita has been it’s majority stakeholder since day one. Others have expressed interest, and have napped out on the ground floor. But Pepita regularly occupies the pumpkin head and the outcropped basket. (Oh yeah. It has a little sticky-outy basket thing in the Halloween mode!) I am curious to discover if her self-declared rulership will extend into christmas mode as well. It lacks an occupiable head and sticky-outy basket in christmas mode.

But anyboo, have a merry halloween! Tip your bartenders. Hug your designated drivers. Carry a barf-bag. And may your children bring you many peanut butter cups.

Red & Green season starts tomorrow.
