Almost Daily Cat Haiku

Oh yes. The horror of winter has just begun. Prepare yourself for ice and snow and windchills that will freeze your boogers. But it’s not all doom and gloom and blocked up sinuses. The first day of winter is also the shortest daytime of the year. Yes, I know, that doesn’t sound like a good thing. In fact, it sounds exactly like the “gloom” I just said it wouldn’t all be. But think about it. If today has the least daylight hours of all days, that means it has less sunlight than yesterday AND tomorrow.  Starting today, each tomorrow will have slightly more glowing warmth from that massive ball of fire and cancer in the sky.

So enjoy your elongated weekends, try not to go shopping this week, and have another cookie.

Oh, and stay warm. It is going to be stupid cold much of the coming months.
