• No time for silly rants, I’m already late

  • Time to make the donuts….

I don’t actually make donuts. That’s an old TV commercial for donuts that somehow stays alive. Don’t ask me to do algebra, but I could pick the Time-to-make-the-donuts guy out of a lineup easier than I could find Waldo.  Is Waldo still around? Tiny little dude with the red and white stripes?  Anyone? Bueller?

Anyway. 250 million years ago, some probainognathian lizard decided to shift its jaw hinge into its ear, and now I have to go to work. Bullshit.

  • Should there be punctuation at the end of the title? I can never remember if I added a period after the number on these. So some probably have one, and some probably don’t. But once I get past the title, and then add the picture, and then figure out what my little ramble will be about, and then write the ramble, I’ve forgotten about the question of title punctuation and I don’t remember to take note of it the next time. So there’s likely some inconsistencies in my naming convention, and I would like to apologize for that. But I won’t. Because you don’t remember if the titles have punctuation either. Oh, sure, you’ve looked up at the top just now to take note (don’t deny it, I know you did) and if you didn’t already flip back to the table of contents to check those previous posts, you were planning on doing so when you finished here. And now I’ve successfully polluted the pool of potential jurors of my judgment, and that’s almost as good as absolvement.

Besides. We should all be focusing on the cute cats and not bickering about title formats. Leave that task to the editors.

It’s Thursday! (garbage goes out) Get yourself a caffeinated beverage of your desired temperature and temperament, and mosey on  into your day with a smirk of suspicious satisfaction.

  • Breakfast is nice. But it also means I need to get ready for work. At least I have coffee.

It’s Tuesday, I think. Pretty sure. Whatever.

    Have a great whatever day!

  • There.  I did it.

I do want to add, why does “four” have a “u” in it, but “forty” doesn’t? Did it used to, and it just fell out one day? Every time I write 40, I try and put a “u” in it. Because I feel like it belongs there. But then I look at it, and it’s like seeing a nose with three nostrils.

Anyway. Enjoy your Sunday. I hear there’s a big dish on TV tonight.

  • I’m really not getting into the whole “daily” part of this project, am I. It’s been a lot easier to just sit on my ass and play games on my phone. But that’s not putting haikues into the interwebz, now is it! I have a responsibility to the cats, and I must persevere.  I must haiku them!

I am going to make this work. Bare minimum, I will be here once a week. That shouldn’t be too hard. If you notice it’s been five or six days, remind me. If it’s been seven, yell at me.

That is all for now. I hope your week went well and may you have a respiteful weekend.

    Toodles.

  • I’m really struggling with the concept of “daily” here. I’m not sure I’m even meeting the criteria for “almost”.

But. I’m still here! And I’m still Haikuing!

It is stupid cold today. Has been most of the week. I’ll blame that for my nonproductivity.

I hope you all find some warmth on this frigid Tuesday. A cat helps. I recommend borrowing one if possible.

    Do a thing today!

  • Hello, faithful readers.

Before you start yelling at me. I have a perfectly valid reason for abandoning you all for the last two weeks or so.

    I was being lazy.

But today, I am “doing the things” and perhaps I will even “be productive” (but let’s not hold our breaths on that). And to celebrate this momentous… um… moment. I have an angry cat!

It is, of course, my fault, dear little FlooferNoofer is angry. I forcefully abducted her from the tranquility of her home. And she wasn’t even trying to be the leader of Venezuela. And now she is in the hands of qualified and super nice professional pet people, so anything disagreeable that occurs from this point on is their fault. Not mine. And then I will bring her home and once again be the hero!!

    Enjoy your Saturday, everyone.

  • A happiest of new years to you, dear reader. May your 2026 be filled with good luck, prosperity, and cats.

  • I am dying of the plague.

    Well, actually, it’s the flu.

    And, I’m not dying.

    But I am miserable.

If you have not yet had the flu this season, please pay me a visit so that I may share with you this beautiful gift that my own family has bestown upon me. Why, it’s better than painting a fence!

But seriously. This sucks. Stay the hell away from me.

Go wash your hands. And drink some water. And if you think you may be sick, stay the fuck home.
